To understand the present day MUMBAI, we can divide it in three division and for the sake of convenience it can be called line / s.
Central Line : From CST to Karjat / Kasara railway station. It means the area which falls or come under from Chatrapati Shivaji Terminum to Karjat or Kasara railway station, we will call them Central Line viz. Byculla, Dadar ( Central Line), Thane, Kalyan, Ambarnath, Asangaon, Titwala etc. can be referred as places from Central line.
Harbour Line - From CST to Panvel railway stations viz. Kurla (Harbour Line), Sion, Chembur, Vashi, Sanpada, Belapur etc. can be referred as places from Harbour Line.
Western Line - From Churchgare to Vasai / Virar vize. Marine Line, Dadar (Western Line), Bandra, Andheri, Goregaon etc. can be referred as places from Western Line.
